Starting The Year Strong, And Supplemented
Happy New Year from all of us here at The Fountain Of Youth Lifestyle!
We hope you had a lovely break filled with celebration, and are as excited as we are for this opportunity to reset, refocus, and build fresh habits for the year ahead. While big resolutions can be intensely motivating, or equally overwhelming, it’s often the small, consistent actions that fit naturally into your lifestyle and add up to lasting change. Here are three of our resolution recommendations to help you start this next orbit around the sun feeling supported and inspired.
1. “I will treat my body well.”
This doesn’t have to mean hitting the gym every day or committing to a strict eating plan. Instead, focus on daily movement, fresh foods, and thoughtful supplementation to help meet your vitamin and nutrition needs.
A day in your new year may look like
• waking up with the sun and aiming for a similar, reasonable bedtime each night
• treating yourself with your favourite foods, mindfully combined with some extra nutrition
• considering a commute that allows more movement and fresh air, starting with parking a block or two further from your destination, or getting off transport a stop early
• easing back into work with short breaks from the desk to stand and stretch
2. “I will set the tone each day, reflected and refreshed.”
How we begin our day often shapes the experience that follows. Just as we have a brand-new year ahead, we also have 365 opportunities to start fresh. Introducing a small daily ritual can help you feel more grounded, productive, and present.
A morning moment in your new year may look like
• slow sipping a tripeptide collagen-infused coffee alongside a guided meditation
• dancing in the kitchen while preparing breakfast to get energy and endorphins flowing
• maintaining a simple yet nourishing skin or hair routine that feels indulgent while supporting hydration and body nutrition
3. “I will put in daily, measurable effort toward a larger goal.”
Something you’ve been putting off, or lacking the confidence to begin, is waiting patiently to be worked on. The time spent can quickly feel rewarding and exciting. Now is your chance to set aside 15 minutes a day and prioritise something you’ve been wanting to do.
This window of learning or practising may look like
• studying a new language, starting with three new words a day
• prioritising a hobby lost to time (or time management, in my case), like trialling different takes on dinner classics to reignite your love of cooking and experience new flavours
• diffusing an old fear, with slow and conscious practice and exposure
Trying to become a whole new person is quite a lot to consider, where bettering your current self is much more realistic and inspiring. While habits may take only weeks to form, their benefits can last well beyond the moment they become second nature. Remember to treat yourself with care, setting up achievable and exciting goals, to create the best possible foundation for the year ahead.
