Inside Scoop: A Collagen Coffee and Conversation with the CEO
Today I sat down for a collagen-infused coffee with Jacqui Hutton, CEO and founder, to discuss the inspiration behind The Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™. As a leader in the wellness space, redefining routines to a higher level of self-care is at the heart of Jacqui’s priorities. While the industry grows louder, she’s cutting through the noise with a refreshing mindset. Pour yourself a cup and join the conversation.
How do you personally define wellness?
“Wellness to me is a whole lifestyle,” Jacqui begins, leaning into the philosophy that guides both her personal journey and her company’s mission.
“It’s not just one thing. It’s not just the gym or eating well; it’s an entire way of being.”
This holistic perspective is at the heart of her brand. For Jacqui, wellness is not about perfection, but balance, sustained by a genuine curiosity for what works and why.
What first made you passionate about this industry?
Jacqui tells us how her path to wellness, wasn’t a straight line, but one that started in personal experience. “I’m a person, like everybody else. I’m totally happy being me, I am, but I also want the best version of myself."
“I remember when my body started to not agree with me; bum, tum, chin, it felt like things were going south... except the hairline, that was going north.” Jacqui jokes.
It was a relatable moment of feeling out of sync with her own body and wanting to regain that control. “I found myself researching away and I let the hype get to me, trying a number of products that did nothing. But I did believe there should be something that actually worked. So, I began making my own.”
Jacqui’s passion, standards, and transparency went on to become the foundation of her company, so that what she discovered could be shared and better utilised.
What’s your favourite supplementation benefit?
"The stress relief and regulation properties,” she says without hesitation.
“There's been a lot going on lately, and I don't know how I'd have my head on straight without my morning collagen. A scoop in a glass of water and I’m on my way.”
Jacqui goes on to talk about how the daily ritual has become an act of self care that her body constantly shows appreciation for. “My cortisol levels are definitely responding to my routine."
What's one wellness ritual, collagen aside, that you swear by?
"Definitely swimming. Though I may not be the best at it. I just love that it clears my head. I count the laps as a way to meditate in the water."
Can you share a memorable customer moment that felt like a turning point for you?
This is where I learnt just how many members of the growing Fountain of Youth Lifestyle community Jacqui has taken the time to get to know. It was inspiring to hear how she takes it upon herself to respond, reach out, and check in.
One story stood out. “Her name is Sarah. She reached out to me, explaining her situation. An accomplished artist who found herself bed-bound and unable to pick up a brush.”
This wasn’t a customer inquiry, it was a real and honest conversation between two strangers; an act of care. “I’m not some big company,” Jacqui explained. “I like my customers. I want to be involved. I’m curious about what’s happening in their worlds.”
Jacqui goes on to tell me that less than two months into her collagen journey, Sarah reached out again. This time, motivated and energised. Jacqui then shows a piece of art Sarah had done for her. “I show people that with pride. I can’t explain. It means the world to me.”
Over the course of our coffee, it became clear that the mission here is people-first. From frustrated consumer to purposeful founder, Jacqui’s journey reflects a broader shift in wellness; one that values authenticity, connection, and real results.
I hope you enjoyed the inside scoop, and that you’ve had your scoop of collagen today.
