Yummy Mummies in a Blood Bath
Ingredients:
• 10 cocktail Frankfurts
• 10 cocktail pickled onions
• 10 cheese slices
• 10 cocktail sticks
• Sprinkle of Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™ Tripeptide Collagen
• 4 sheets puff pastry
• 1 sheet shortcrust pastry
• 1 egg (beaten)
• Tomato sauce
Makes 10 mummies and a coffin.
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
2. Skewer the Frankfurt to the pickled onion and lay down on a cheese slice.
3. Sprinkle on Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™ Tripeptide Collagen if we’re cooking for the big kids (AKA adults).
4. Cut the puff pastry into 1 cm strips.
5. Wrap puff pastry around the skewer and pinch it in where the onion meets the Frankfurt, until your Halloween mummy takes shape. Repeat. Place on a baking tray.
6. Gently brush them with egg wash.
7. Cut out the coffin shape using the shortcrust pastry, pinching the corners to create walls, and add to the baking tray.
8. Bake until golden coloured, about 20-25 mins.
9. To serve, place your coffin in the middle of a dish, fill it with tomato sauce, and arrange your mummies around.
We’re wishing you all a spooky, kooky and Happy Halloween... BOO!
